Payment _____ Cash preferred. We do not carry change, so please be prepared with the exact amount, or be willing to donate the overage, as we will not apply additional last minute discounts. Receipts available.
Paypal/Square accepted. All sales are final.
Health _____ All rabbits will be guaranteed healthy at the time of sale. Available rabbits have passed each of their health checks, including the day of sale health check. We reserve the right to withdraw a specific rabbit from availability at any time and for any reason.
In the event a health issue develops, specifically within the first 7 days, contact us by phone or email immediately. Important note: We are not on social media daily, and may not immediately see social media messages, phone/email contact will be more prompt!
Pick Up _____ Cage space is limited as we maintain a small, home-based rabbitry. Arrangements will be made for you to pick up your rabbit(s) within two weeks of placing your deposit. There can be other arrangements made when necessary, such as picking your rabbit up at an upcoming show or scheduling via a rabbit transport. If we are unable to connect with you to make pick-up arrangements, or if you are a no-call, no-show for your scheduled pick up, your rabbit may be re-listed and your deposit will be forfeited. Rabbits travel best in a dark, quiet "safe" place like a travel cage or cardboard box- be sure to bring one when we meet so you can safely transport your rabbit(s) home! We prefer to meet in local police/fire department parking lots for added peace of mind about our safety and yours.
Transports _____ We are happy to work with known rabbit transports. We will occasionally will meet within a one hour or less drive from our home, for an additional transport fee.
Security/Biosecurity _____ Our rabbitry is strictly closed, which means we do not allow visitors or host tours. When you come to meet a rabbit, you will be asked to wash your hands prior to handling any. We quarantine new rabbits, and suggest you also quarantine your new friend when you arrive home. Our rabbits are kept separated from neighboring cages with either 3+ feet between cages, or non-porous dividers to help prevent the spread of illness. Food & water dishes are labelled with each rabbit's name and are not shared or swapped, as are cage pans.
Care _____ Please see our FILES & LINKS page to download a copy of our rabbit care basics sheet. (Coming soon)
Angora rabbits require more care than other rabbits, including a commitment to daily combing to keep mats from forming. Rabbits can live 7-12 years, this is a rabbit-lifelong commitment not to be taken lightly. Our rabbits will come with a transition bag of food, hay, basic care kit & information packet to get you started.
Worst Case Scenario: _____ If at any point you become unable to maintain or care for your bunny, contact us right away to arrange a “surrender.” We do not see surrendering a rabbit back to us as a weakness or failure, but as a sign of strength and knowing your limits. We would prefer to bring bunnies back under our care when circumstances arise preventing you from continuing their care. We do not buy-back bunnies. When possible, please bring a ziploc bag of the food they have become accustomed to so we can transition them back to our current feed. DO NOT: rehome rabbits to homes with no rabbit/angora experience, release them into the wild, or send them to animal shelters/rescues.
Final Notes: _____ If you are looking for a pet rabbit, we ask that you please adopt a bunny from the animal shelters and rescues near you.
We retain the right to refuse any sale, at any time, for any reason.
We do not ship rabbits, but can put you in touch with animal transports to make transport arrangements at your cost.
As with any animal, we are unable to guarantee a rabbit’s personality & temperament, fertility or mothering ability, breeding or show success. We are happy to tell you stories of our past & current rabbits, give you pedigree information and give an educated guess as to what you can expect from our lines.
New cages are occasionally available for purchase, custom made in our own workshop.
Woolen Bliss is not responsible for rabbits or their outcomes once they are no longer in our possession.
Non-cash deposits & payments require an additional 4% convenience fee.
